Every Person Benefits from Camp

We offer scholarships to participants and their families thanks to gifts from generous donors.

To apply for a scholarship for Overnight Camp at Camp Harrison or Camp Thunderbird for the Summer of 2026, please complete ONE form per family in its entirety. It will require your information, your camper(s) information, and income verification.

How much Scholarship Assistance do we offer?

The Y offers PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP to attend our Overnight Camp program. We do not provide camp free of charge. Each family will be expected to pay a percentage of the camper fees based on income and number of kids attending camp. Please note that not all applicants receive the maximum amount of assistance.

*YMCA of Greater Charlotte members, your Program Scholarship does not apply to our Overnight Camp program. You must fill out this application and follow this process.

How does the Scholarship Application process run?

Our scholarship application process opens on November 15th and will remain available until funds are exhausted. These funds are raised annually through the generous support of our donors. Please note that scholarship resources are limited, and once the allocated funds are depleted, the application process will close.
